Removable sleeve icons were released by A.I.S.E. in 2021 as part of its commitment to help increase the uptake of recycled packaging material and achieve the  voluntary pledge on plastic packaging. The icons encourage consumers to remove the sleeves from packs after use to facilitate recycling of the plastic bottle.
The icon may be used by all companies in the detergent and maintenance product sector in Europe using full-body sleeves, and can also be used by other sectors, provided that the guidelines are respected. The icon respects the guidelines provided by the European PET Bottle Platform, and can be used on all plastic bottles, not only PET.

The sleeve icon includes:
- A mandatory icon and accompanying text which must be placed on pack
- A set of agreed translations for the call for action
- An optional additional icon (the zipper – with no text)
