15-07-2025

Today, A.I.S.E. members Kersia, inventing a food safe world, Diversey and Spectro B.V. attended the High-Level Implementation Dialogue with Health and Animal Welfare Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi. This constructive dialogue reflects our ongoing commitment to collaborating closely with EU institutions to help shape a regulatory framework that is fit also for SMEs.

During the dialogue, A.I.S.E. outlined key political messages, including:

  • The critical role of Biocidal products in the protection of human health and in preventing the spread of infectious diseases in hospitals, in food processing environments and increasingly in our daily lives.
  • The challenges related to the Biocidal Products Regulation implementation for competitiveness and innovation and the need for simplification.
  • The importance of a harmonised approach in the development of upcoming legislations, ensuring clarity, predictability and a level playing field across Europe to boost innovation.
  • The critical role of ethanol as disinfectant and the risk of ‘de facto’ ban.

As the voice of Europe’s cleaning and maintenance products industry, A.I.S.E. greatly believes in the importance of these dialogues and remains committed to engaging proactively with policymakers to ensure our sector can thrive while contributing to the competitiveness of European industry.
