Highlighting the detergents and cleaning products industry’s use of enzymes, micro-organisms and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) to drive sustainability and innovation, A.I.S.E. calls for a risk-based, science-driven regulatory framework. We emphasise the need for harmonised EU rules, streamlined procedures and the removal of inappropriate requirements such as the QPS list for non-food applications.
